Aftco Unibutts

Manufactured from the finest marine grade alloy aluminum, the Aftco Unibutts are the combination of the handle-reel seat that has revolutionized the concept of trolling rod butts. These one-piece unibutts are formed with Aftco's unique "swaging" process, where the aluminum butt is "unitized" to the reel seat, creating a connection that maximizes strength with minimum weight. The aligning pin-plug gimbal and fixed hook are locked in permanent alignment so that the gimbal, reel, and rod guides always align up exactly. The ferrules are precision-machined for complete interchangeability with rod tip sections, and an O-ring on the ferrule prevents corrosion between the ferrule and the reel seat. A Teflon ring inside the collet nut assures snug fit, prevents galling, and allows for easy removal of the nut.
